The Mexican Studies Oral History Project features the anthropologist Alex E. Chávez, who talks about his book, Sounds of Crossing: Music, Migration, and the Aural Poetic of Huapango Arribeño. In his book he explores the contemporary politics of Mexican migrants' cultural expression manifested in the sounds and aural poetry of huapango arribeño. The second interview, features Hilda Trujillo, Director at the museums, Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivero-Anahuacali. She talks about the exhibition “Frida Kahlo: Appearances Can Be Deceiving,” and the influence the Mexican artist has in different fields.
