NASA’s Double Asteroid Redirection Test (DART) is a first-of-its-kind test mission that will intentionally crash a spacecraft into an asteroid – that poses no threat to Earth – to see if it is a viable way to deflect an asteroid, should a hazardous one be discovered in the future.
