BronxNet FiOS Channels Are Now Available In HD

BronxNet is now fully high definition on all channels across cable systems, thanks to the launch of a new high definition channel lineup on FiOS. The addition of the new HD channels on FiOS together with the six existing BronxNet HD channels on Optimum gives BronxNet twelve HD channels on the two Bronx platforms. Bronxites can now view a bigger picture in a more vivid form as they watch their favorite BronxNet shows.

Content originally only available in standard definition on FiOS will now be available in HD on FiOS channels 2133, 2134, 2135, 2136, 2137 and 2138. The new HD channels include 2133 featuring signature public affairs and arts programs produced by BronxNet, 2134, 2135 and 2136 showcasing a range of talk shows, dramas, documentaries and cultural programs by independent producers, 2137 presenting youth-focused shows and 2138 featuring town halls and community programs. Viewers will experience an enhanced picture quality, a bigger picture and have a more immersive experience when they tune in.

The BronxNet board of directors is committed to providing Bronx audiences with channels delivered in a broadcast quality, and with a technical standard, no less than any other channel on any TV or cable system. This all HD delivery is a significant achievement in meeting those goals.
— BronxNet Chairman, Paul T. Gentile

Although BronxNet has built robust technological infrastructure and has been producing programs in HD for more than a decade, it is now that all of the BronxNet channels are being delivered in their native full HD to Bronx homes by both cable systems.

Seeing the bigger picture of the Bronx via BronxNet TV in all HD offers a better representation of our borough and the creativity of the people of the Bronx. This latest launch reflects our continued commitment to bringing you upgrades and enhanced services as we provide you with new technology, informative programs, online media production workshops and opportunities to share your vision and experience our borough on your channels.
