OPEN BxRx: Bronx Connections with Sam O'Hara

WFUV News Director George Bodarky talks with 17-year-old Sam O'Hara for BronxNet, who is using 3-D printing to make face shields for doctors and nurses fighting the COVID-19 pandemic, including medical staff at St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx. Sam is a senior at the Birch Wathen Lenox School in Manhattan. St. Barnabas became a beneficiary of Sam’s project because his parents are long-time friends of Dr. Janine Adjo, chair of the St. Barnabas Department of Pediatrics. Coincidentally, Sam's pediatrician mother, Dr. Mandy O’Hara, began her career at St. Barnabas before the two doctors ever met.
