Eric Adams Narrowly Wins In The First NYC Mayoral Democratic Primary To Use Ranked-Choice Voting

After a very competitive and unpredictable race in the New York City Democratic primary for Mayor, Brooklyn Borough President and former police officer Eric Adams just narrowly came out victorious as the party’s nominee for New York City. Most notably, for the first time ever, voters used ranked choice voting to pick the party’s nominee which, along with a few high profile nominees, made this primary especially competitive.
